I don’t have much to say,
But the little I have here goes:
Our fathers were outgoing,
If you know what I mean.
So don’t be surprised if at his funeral
You see someone older than you
Who looks exactly like your dad.
We won’t talk about the lost generation,
Because the generations been lost since the beginning;
Right there, just after creation,
When Eve ate and Eve gave.
Now look at this corrosion we now have,
The erotion of culture,
The disintegration of morality.
Some boys don’t wanna work,
So we go to universities to get our degrees,
Then we come back Fifa addicts,
And other addictions we all know,
Balancing our time between the sheets, the kitchen and the couch,
Blaming everything on the economy,
While chiding combi operators for their noise.
Once in a while we go out for drinks,
Even with the little money we don’t have,
And we start spilling the beans,
Of the bean we tasted;
“Ndakapinda yeke boys!” We brag,
But the mouth takes a moment of silence
When it comes to the ‘and got an STI’ part.
We taking drugs instead of more water;
If its new on the street we wanna explore,
The little strength left is wasted on women,
Some of them older than our grandmothers.
The Ama90s are busy blaming the Ama2ks,
For having the boldness to do openly the things they do in private,
Cowards!
If you don’t love them things,
Why are you bleaching them skins?
And gobbling up them yoni pills?
Someone who fails mathematics,
Claims he has been called by God,
Opening churches to take advantage of widows;
And making fake promises to orphans;
Disparaging the name of Christ for money,
And blaspheming the Holy Spirit for gain.
Everybody wants to get rich;
But some, a little bit too quickly;
That’s why if it’s not toes then it’s njuzu;
People are publicly advertising witchcraft,
And cutting off heads of children,
Selling off their families to the underworld,
While the marriage bed has been terribly defiled,
Because they are now using beds in lodges.
This ranting is probably never gonna end,
Because I still have much to say,
And I know you too have more to say,
But I think whatever remains in that brain of yours,
Just summarise it in four words,
And say together with me,
“I can do better.”
